BRUMMIES 65 STOKE 29

Wednesday April 14, 2010
BIRMINGHAM romped to their biggest win since the relaunch of the club in 2007 to put one foot in the Premier Trophy Semi-Finals on Wednesday night.

The BRC Roofing Brummies demolished Stoke 65-29 to make them clear favourites to win the group and automatically reach the last four.

No less than four Birmingham riders went through the meeting unbeaten by an opposing rider and Aaron Summers notched a perfect 15-point haul.

Young Aussies Taylor Poole and James Holder were both used for tactical rides for the visitors but both moves proved to be nothing more than damage limitation.

But a succession of maximum 5-1 wins for Graham Drury’s side gave them the bumper win and the loyal home fans went home happy.

BIRMINGHAM: Aaron Summers 15, Chris Kerr 11+1, Steve Johnston 10+5, Jason Lyons 10+1, Richard Sweetman 9+3, Justin Sedgmen 9+1, Jake Anderson 1.

STOKE: Taylor Poole 10+1, James Holder 9, Hynek Stichauer 4+1, Klaus Jakobsen 2, Ricky Wells 2, Michal Rajkowski 1, Ludvig Lindgren 1.
