RYE HOUSE 53 BRUMMIES 40

Saturday August 30, 2008
TOMASZ Piszcz continued his sensational return to British racing with a bumper 16-point haul in Birmingham’s 53-40 defeat at Rye House.

Piszcz, unknown to BRC Roofing Brummies fans before boss Graham Drury snapped him up, was a shining light for the Perry Barr club against a powerhouse Rockets team who are traditionally tough to beat on their own track.

He received good support from skipper Jason Lyons (11) and Craig Watson (9) but the Brummies had too long a tail.

The popular Pole won his tactical ride when nominated by Drury and restored some pride as the Hoddesden side threatened to open up a massive advantage.

RYE HOUSE 53: Tomas Topinka 13+1, Luke Bowen 9+3, Robert Mear 8, Chris Neath 7, Daniel Halsey 6+2, Tommy Allen 6+1, Stefan Ekberg 4+1.
BIRMINGHAM 40: Tomasz Piszcz 16, Jason Lyons 11+1, Craig Watson 9, Jay Herne 3, Kyle Hughes 1, James Cockle 0, Kyle Legault r/r.
