BRUMMIES 51 STOKE 39

Wednesday April 29, 2015
BIRMINGHAM made it two out of two in the National League with an impressive 51-39 win against Stoke.

It was another incident packed night at Perry Barr, but the Brummies fought hard to ensure they picked up three more league points and send the visitors home empty handed.

Team Manager Graham Drury was thrilled to see his side maintain their unbeaten start to the league campaign.

"It was another fantastic team performance and I think we were good value for our win in the end," said Drury.

"Things were pretty close early on but, as I expected, we were strong in the second half and managed to pull away.

"Adam Ellis was in a class of his own, Zach was absolutely superb, Tom Perry did his captain's role really once again and the other boys chipped in with some important points.

"It was another pleasing night and we'll take that with us to Loomer Road on Saturday."

Adam Ellis eased to a 15 point maximum, whilst Zach Wajtknecht (14) and Tom Perry (12+2) bagged double figures at home once again.

Adam Kirby suffered a mixed night but still managed an important 5+1, whilst Alex Wilson managed three points prior to a huge crash in Heat 12.

Harvie Banks endured another tough night but rode well to hold on to his two points.

BIRMINGHAM 51: Adam Ellis 15, Zach Wajtknecht 14, Tom Perry 12+2, Adam Kirby 5+2, Alex Wilson 3, Harvie Banks 2, Sam Chapman R/R.
