BIRMINGHAM are on a revenge mission when they face King’s Lynn in Thursday’s Elite League action at Perry Barr (7.30).

The Selco Brummies were left smarting from a heavy defeat at the hands of the Stars last month – and they’re determined to put the record straight.

Manager Jack Lee has revealed how the team is a lot more settled now and they are looking forward to the action.

He said: “I expect a good meeting, to be honest. I know King’s Lynn are a good side but they have some riders missing and we will be up for the challenge.

“The team is a lot more settled now than when we raced them last. It’s down to us to stay positive and carry forward the good work of the last couple of meetings.”

Birmingham have named Adam Skornicki in the number one spot where he will partner Daniel Nermark in the opening race.

The Stars are without world number three Niels-Kristian Iversen who is away on Danish championship duty along with Nicklas Porsing. Grand Prix ace Kenneth Bjerre is also missing, but with a broken collarbone.

It means the Norfolk side have been forced into booking three guest riders with Davey Watt replacing Iversen, Edinburgh’s hot Aussie prospect Max Fricke for Porsing and British star Scott Nicholls in for Bjerre.

BIRMINGHAM: Adam Skornicki, Daniel Nermark, Danny King, Nico Covatti, Ben Barker, Paul Starke, Simon Lambert.

KING’S LYNN: Davey Watt, Max Fricke, Rory Schlein, Robert Lambert, Scott Nicholls, Lewis Kerr, Lewis Rose.
