BRUMMIES THIRD IN FOURS

Saturday September 08, 2012
RESULT and scorers from the Midland Fours meeting at Leicester.

A Selco Brummies team made up of skipper Danny King, Nicolas Covatti, Chris Mills and Ritchie Hawkins - a late replacement for the ill Josh Auty - travelled to Beaumont Park and finished on a disappointing 20 points.

After two falls in his opening two rides, Covatti got to grips with the track and bagged Brummies only race win on his way to 5 - whilst Mills top-scored with a solid yet unspectacular 6.

However, King will be disappointed to have added only 5 points, whilst Hawkins made little impression on the meeting.

Although all four were solid, Brummies lacked a big scorer and they were never able to challenge winners Leicester and second place Wolves despite comfortably holding off Coventry for third.
